Michael T. Willis, Esq
Founder & Owner
Michael T. Willis has been practicing law for over 15 years. He is admitted in both the New Jersey and Federal District of New Jersey Bars. Mr. Willis attended The Ohio State University and Seton Hall University. He graduated from New York Law School (2001), where he earned his Juris Doctorate. Mr. Willis served as Special Deputy Attorney General in New Jersey for five years, during which time he handled matters related to insurance and health insurance fraud. Mr. Willis is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the New Jersey Bar Association.
Mr. Willis has had clients in 15 New Jersey counties in various areas of law, including but not limited to: Estate Planning, Elder Law, Asset Protection, Medicaid Crisis Planning, and Medicaid Preplanning, in addition to related family matters. Today, Mr. Willis dedicates the majority of his time to Estate and Elder Law matters. Mr. Willis’ mission is to focus on compassionate client service and to provide his clients the best results, benefiting from his breadth of litigation experience, global perspective, and knowledge in the areas of Estate Planning and Elder Law.
Sarah Briguglio
Attorney
Sarah Briguglio currently resides in Washington Township and grew up in New Jersey. She attended The College of New Jersey for undergraduate studies, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then attended Seton Hall Law School on scholarship and was a member of the Circuit Review Journal. Sarah clerked for Judge McGrogan, a Superior Court Judge in Bergen County, New Jersey. She believes in strong client communication, attention-to-detail and compassionate service.
Maurice Giro, Esq.
Of Counsel
Mr. Giro serves as Of Counsel to the firm. He supports the firm’s operations and assists with files. Mr. Giro takes a compassionate approach to estate planning and elder law matters and takes the time to truly understand his clients’ situation and goals. He is familiar with the various laws affecting the transferring of assets after death and can help his clients and their families have peace of mind when a death occurs.
Mr. Giro’s estate law experience enables him to assist in a wide variety of circumstances: Whether his clients need to protect valuable and complex assets through a trust, to plan for Medicare and Medicaid benefits to assist with long-term care, or to pass on simple assets and personal items through a will, Mr. Giro is able to help deliver exceptional results.
Karen Benton
Community Liaison
Karen Benton is our Community Liaison. She has worked as a liaison in the senior community as well as a social worker in the community. Karen brings with her a familiarity of the eldercare community and its resources. She is also able to use her social work background to assist clients in connecting with appropriate community resources as needed. Karen enjoys using her wide array of experiences to serve clients and the community.
Karen graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. She also received her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania and is a licensed school social worker. She has an MBA in healthcare from Temple University. In her free time, Karen enjoys, working out, traveling and spending time with her husband and three children.
Chanel Laguna, MBA
Workshop Coordinator
Chanel Laguna serves as the firm’s Workshop Coordinator, and she is an integral part of our client service experience. Chanel confirms with our workshop attendees, greets and assists them when they arrive and provides our attendees with firm information and follow up to ensure that the presentation and process flows smoothly. Chanel was previously a Client Coordinator in an Estate Planning law firm and understands the needs of our clients. She is a valuable resource for our firm’s workshop attendees.
